Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) Gets UNEP Accreditation and Observer Status at UNEA

It pleases us to inform you that we have received yesterday, an official letter from UNEP, conveying that "AHOA has been granted Accreditation as an Observer to the governing body of UN Environment Programme (United Nations Environment Assembly)". 

  

Together, we look forward to increased participation of AHOA and its members in "public meetings and sessions of the UNEA and its subsidiary organs". 

 

AHOA already has a consultative status at UN ECOSOC.

Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) is a community-focused civil society organizations (CSOs) network coalition and think-tank for the promotion of policies, programmes and interventions that enhance productivity, accountability and transparency in Society Welfare/Social Safety nets, Development Work, Sustainable Development and Health. AHOA has members/partnership of over 1000 organizations mainly from the global South and promotes ‘One Health’ paradigm where Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. Dr. Uzodinma Adirieje is Certified Trainer/Facilitator, Management Consultant, an independent professional Evaluator; Health Economist, PMERLT specialist (Project/Programme Planning/Management, Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning/Training); and ‘One Health’ Champion/Advocate, Development Worker, Reproductive Health Advocate, Columnist/Writer, Health and Community Systems Stengthening Specialist, Independent Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant, and Community leader with proven competencies in Partnerships promotion, Advocacy, Research/Evidence, Capacity/Organizational Development, and Community Engagements, and Outreach interventions. He is a pioneer Fellow and the immediate-past National President of the Nigerian Association of Evaluators (NAE). Dr. Adirieje was the Co-Principal Consultant that drafted the Monitoring and Evaluation Policy of Nigeria which was recently approved by the Nigerian Government. He was a key participant in Nigeria’s national evaluation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 4. The training is to be held for 2 weeks online (virtual) certificate course, during 4.30 pm – 7.30 pm WAT/3.30 pm – 6.30 pm GMT daily, except on Saturdays and Sundays.

As a show of our continuing support and appreciation, we are offering one course free for every four courses registered and paid for in bulk from September – December 2022.
