Effective Engagement of
the Civil Society in Efforts to Control/Eliminate AIDS/HIV, TB, Malaria, NCDs,
NTDs, COVID-19 and Related Diseases in Africa: REQUEST
FOR RECOMMENDATION AND SUPPORT
Many thanks to everyone who provided feedbacks and or joined the
AHOA PAPs and TAGs during the recently opened window period for that purpose.
Kindly note that while members/partners may still join the
TAGs/PAPs, only those who completed the AHOA members/partners information
Google form, and introduced themselves in the chosen/respective PAP/TAG
WhatsApp platform as at 11.59 pm WAT on 1 July 2022, shall participate in the
already scheduled PAPs/TAGs Technical Sessions during 2022. This is to enable
the Secretariat manage participation in the various technical sessions while
the various PAPs/TAGs continue their activities as indicated in their TOR.

Dear Members of Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) and AHOA TAG1,
AHOA Technical Working Session on AIDS/HIV, TB, Malaria, NCDs, NTDs,
COVID-19 and Related Diseases
At its inaugural meeting on 1 July 2022, the AHOA Technical Working
Session on ‘AIDS/HIV, TB, Malaria, NCDs, NTDs, COVID-19 and Related Diseases’
decided to undertake interventions on the theme ‘Effective Engagement of the
Civil Society in Efforts to Control/Eliminate AIDS/HIV, TB, Malaria, NCDs,
NTDs, COVID-19 in Africa’.
In order to achieve this, the Session set up a Project Implementation
Team (PIT) comprising the following persons:
Dr. Uzodinma Adirieje, Nigeria
Sam Sheka Moi, Sierra Leone
Linda Sibiya, Eswatini
Swende Msen Kingsley, Nigeria
Chinelo Ndefo, Nigeria
Nnenna Didigu, Nigeria
The PIT is mandated to give briefs to the AHOA Secretariat and TAG1
on its progress with this intervention, on a monthly basis.
